For many therapists, the idea of gifting therapy has never really existed. Until now.
The Therapy Care Card was created to make access to care both ethical and effortless. It’s a prepaid, flexible gift card that can only be used for mental health therapy. It’s designed to remove awkwardness, protect boundaries and honor the intention of healing.
The Therapy Care Card isn’t about changing how you practice, but rather, it’s about removing barriers that keep people from starting. It’s a simple, supported pathway into care that honors both the clinician’s craft and the client’s courage.
How It Works
The beauty of this model is how quietly the logistics operate in the background, so the focus stays entirely on the human in front of you.

What does this mean for your day-to-day?
- You stay in control. Clients use the card directly with you, through your normal payment systems.
- No platform interference. Your autonomy remains intact.
- Ethical clarity. The card ensures funds are used solely for therapy, preserving the integrity of care.
- Relational entry point. It helps clients begin therapy through a gift that feels dignifying, not transactional.
Faith-Informed, When It Matters
Let’s talk about a phrase you’ll see across our site: faith-informed.
First, let me be entirely clear: Therapists do not need to be Christian to participate.
What matters to us is clinical skill, respect and the ability to meet clients exactly where they are, including when faith is part of the conversation. “Faith-informed” simply means you are able, when a client requests it, to engage in conversations around faith in a way that is respectful, clinically appropriate and always client-led.
To keep our network aligned in tone and posture, we utilize the B-Well Framework — a biblical wellness framework developed by Dr. David Jones. I want to stress that this is not a clinical model. It’s a values-based guide for tone and posture to ensure a grounded, dignified experience for the client. Providers simply complete a brief orientation to ensure shared alignment across the network.
Why Therapists Join
Built to Work With Your Practice, Not Change It
When I was designing this model, my highest priority was protecting the sacred space of the clinical relationship. The last thing an experienced therapist needs is another tech platform trying to dictate how they manage their room.
My Wellness Wallet is a payment and administrative platform designed to support access to therapy through a simple, structured model. It completely respects how you already work.
We operate on a strict policy of non-interference:
- No requirement to share clinical information
- No reporting back to the platform
- No involvement in the therapeutic process
You don’t need another platform to manage. You continue running your practice as you normally do, with no new systems, no added admin and no disruption to your workflow. You choose your clients, set your availability, determine how you practice and use your existing payment systems while maintaining your standard rates. There is absolutely no obligation to accept referrals; you can opt in as much or as little as you’d like.
Clear, Simple Payment
We believe providers should be able to focus on clinical excellence, not chasing administrative loose ends. Session rates are completely transparent and payments are handled cleanly behind the scenes so you can focus entirely on care, not logistics. Funds are processed simply and delivered after sessions are completed.
It Helps People Actually Begin
Many people genuinely want therapy but hesitate because of cost, uncertainty, or stigma. By allowing a friend, employer, pastor, or loved one to contribute toward someone’s care, the Therapy Care Card creates a clear, dignified starting point. It removes the very barriers that keep people from reaching out, making it easier for them to take that crucial first step.
A Thoughtful, Selective Network
We are intentionally building a curated network of experienced therapists grounded in clinical excellence. The goal of My Wellness Wallet is not volume; it’s alignment. We are looking for licensed clinicians with strong clinical judgment and a commitment to professionalism, integrity and client-centered care.
Because we value deep clinical maturity, we prioritize working with a curated group of therapists with 10+ years of experience (or equivalent).
Our application and vetting process is low-friction but highly intentional:
- Questionnaire: A quick look at your initial info regarding experience, approach and fit.
- Conversation / Interview: A chance for us to connect face-to-face and walk through the B-Well framework and the My Wellness Wallet model.
- Final Review: Confirmation of your readiness to participate within the network.
See if This is a Fit
If you’re an independently licensed therapist in Ohio with at least 10 years of experience or the equivalent who values whole-person, faith-informed, relational care, we’d love to connect.
The Therapy Care Card supports access to care, but it does not direct it. If you want a low-friction way to help people remove the financial uncertainty keeping them from the passenger seat of your practice, come take a look at what we’re building.
