How It Works

Sometimes someone wants to help, but they don’t know how. Sometimes a person needs therapy, but access feels out of reach.

My Wellness Wallet makes it easier to give and use Therapy Care Cards for sessions with independently licensed therapists. Sending a card is a simple and thoughtful way to support someone’s care with dignity.

My Wellness Wallet is the place where Therapy Care Cards are purchased and used for therapy sessions.

Therapists in the My Wellness Wallet network remain independent and continue to run their practices as they normally would.

How It Works

A simple, thoughtful process:

1

Give a Therapy Care Card

Buy a Card

Choose a preset amount or customize your own. The card is purchased and delivered by email.

2

The Recipient Claims Their Card

The recipient receives the card and claims it using a secure link. Once claimed, the card is ready to use, and a session may be scheduled.

3

Choose a Therapist

Redeem Now

Recipients can browse participating therapists and choose who feels right for them — based on their needs, preferences and timing. There’s no pressure and no obligation, just the freedom to decide what feels like the right next step.

4

Schedule and Begin Therapy

After choosing a therapist, you’ll be directed to that therapist’s page where a session may be scheduled. At the time of the session, the client shares their Therapy Care Card code with the therapist to apply it toward the cost. Scheduling, communication and care happen directly between the client and therapist, with full privacy and autonomy.

No subscriptions. Just support when it is needed most.

How Payment Works

Therapy Care Cards are designed to make getting started simple and flexible.

  • Cards are available in set amounts or can be customized
  • Cards are purchased and delivered digitally
  • Funds can be applied toward the cost of a therapy session or an insurance co-pay
  • Participating therapists offer sessions eligible for use with a Therapy Care Card

Payment for sessions, including any remaining balance or insurance coordination, is handled directly between the client and therapist.

Important to Know

My Wellness Wallet is designed to support access to care while protecting the therapeutic relationship.

  • The therapy relationship is between the client and therapist
  • Scheduling, session policies and care are managed directly with the therapist
  • Therapists set their own fees, availability and policies
  • My Wellness Wallet facilitates the use of Therapy Care Cards but does not provide therapy services

Why It Works

This is a simple way to support someone while still respecting their independence.

  • It makes it easier to help without overstepping
  • It preserves dignity and personal choice
  • It allows the recipient to move at their own pace
  • It meets people when they’re ready

Support is given without involvement in the therapy itself. The recipient remains in control of their care, while the giver has a clear, thoughtful way to help. There are no expectations and no emotional strings attached.

It’s like giving someone a gift card to a restaurant — you hope they enjoy it, but you’re not choosing the menu.

Rooted in the belief that we are called to care for one another:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” - Galatians 6:2

What This Isn't

To keep the experience clear and respectful for everyone involved:

  • My Wellness Wallet is not a therapy provider
  • This is not a marketplace or referral service
  • There is no involvement in the therapy process itself
  • There is no pressure or obligation for the recipient
  • My Wellness Wallet does not supervise therapists or influence care
